You should take every opportunity to socialize with friends at one of the many cafés and brasseries in Paris. Sit out on the sidewalk and watch the world go by. Soak up the Parisian atmosphere.

2. Ladurée

The prices are a bit high in Ladurée, but you must try to experience this place for its exquisite macarons and luxurious surroundings. There are three Ladurée restaurants in Paris.

3. Louvre Museum

The Louvre Museum of art is vast, so you’ll do well to see it all in one day. If you’re a student living in the city, you don’t have to, but any visit is worthwhile.

4.The Catacombs

If you have a taste for the macabre, visit the Catacombs in the 14th arrondissement. The bones of 6-7 million people were moved from surrounding cemeteries into this Denfert-Rochereau quarry.

5. Eiffel Tower

Not all Parisians love or even like the Eiffel Tower, but you can’t be a student in Paris without ascending it at least once.

6. Canal Saint-Martin

Join Parisians in relaxing by the Canal Saint-Martin in summertime. Perhaps you’ll take something to eat and drink and make the most of the occasion.

7. Intellectual Sites

Follow in the footsteps of famous intellectuals and stop at the cafés of the Boulevard Saint-Germain on the Left Bank.

8. Hang out in the Marais

The Marais is a laid-back area of Paris with thriving Jewish and gay communities. This characterful area is a great place for anyone to relax.

9. Multicultural Food at Saint-Michel

Cheap food from a variety of different nations and cultures can be found in the lively Latin neighborhood of Saint-Michel.

10. Shakespeare and Company Bookstore

The surviving one of two famous Shakespeare and Company bookstores is located on the rue de la Bûcherie. This is one of the great literary focal points of Paris.
